My day…

Well I’ve been to the gym three nights this week. I come home from work, I change and go. By the time I get home it’s 10:30 at night.

I love it but I can’t do it every night. So tonight I came home and cooked. There were some things I wanted to experiment with in the kitchen. I bought this pasta, that is not pasta. It’s gluten free and make of chic pea flour. I made a cold pasta salad with red peppers, carrots, celery, onions, a lite oil based Cesar dressing and parmesan cheese. I ended up really liking the “noodles.”

Then I had bought a chicken this week. So you know how it goes where you have to get creative on all the things you can do to a free range, organic chicken. So one night I made lemon pepper chicken with fresh lemons and brown and red rice with chia and kale. That was really delicious. So tonight I took the easy way out that I hadn’t had in the longest time, I diced it up and tossed it in a really good barbecue sauce to go with the pasta salad. Tomorrow I’ll stuff the leftovers into pita bread for lunch.

I took M. in a blackcurrant tea bag so she could try my afternoon tea. She likes it. I love black currant.

I see there’s another storm coming. It’s been really windy the last three days. We’ll see what happens.

And so I enjoyed a hot bath and for the rest of the evening I will continue watching my show on Netflix.

I know it sounds like a mundane, routine evening, but I really enjoy this kind of thing. I love going to the gym, the spa and then that steaming hot shower with jets on my neck. But I can’t do it every night. So I have to mix it up a bit.

At work, I’m building out a web site with new inventory. I’ve got another back cover to put together tomorrow, a slew of operational issues, legal paperwork, photography work for social media, etc. You know my routine by now.
